From ESKANA Division D to Division A, a shared journey shaped by the people of Elefsina and their love of basketball.
There is a special joy in wearing your hometown’s jersey. In sharing the court with people you grew up with, and recognising faces in the stands who remember your very first steps in basketball. At OKE BC, this connection with Elefsina lies at the heart of our philosophy.
Our team draws its strength from the city’s own athletes. We want to give them the space to show their talent, work on their game and grow as basketball players in their hometown. We want them to know that their effort has a place, a future and people who believe in it.
From Division D to Division A, together
OKE BC’s journey from ESKANA Division D to Division A carries the signature of its Elefsina players. Athletes who committed their time to training, took responsibility on the court and learned to move forward as a team.
Alongside them, local coaches, club officials and sponsors joined forces to support that journey. Each contributed in their own way, through knowledge, hands-on work and practical support. The club’s progress on the court is the result of this shared effort.
Local talent needs room to grow
For us, trusting Elefsina’s athletes is something we put into practice every day: in training, in opportunities to play, in support after a mistake and in the determination to improve. Every player needs an environment where they can learn, challenge themselves and contribute.
Through basketball, we learn to listen, work together and respect our teammates’ efforts. We learn to enjoy a good performance and return to training after a difficult result. These experiences deepen our connection with both the team and our city.
The spirit of amateur basketball we believe in
Behind every game are people who make time for the court after work and everyday commitments. Players, coaches, board members, volunteers and families contribute what they can to keep the effort going.
Beside them stand the sponsors and partners who help meet the team’s needs. Their support becomes part of its daily life: the equipment, travel and organisation that a basketball season requires.
This is the authentic spirit of amateur sport we believe in: love of the game, commitment to the team and the willingness to contribute, each in our own way.
A tribute to Elefsina and its people
Our local identity is a bond we want to nurture with respect and an open spirit. It connects us to the city, gives us a responsibility towards younger athletes and reminds us of what people can achieve when they believe in a shared endeavour.
To everyone who has worn or wears the OKE BC jersey, and everyone who has coached, organised, supported or cheered from the stands, we offer our heartfelt thanks.
Elefsina on the court. Together with its people.
